Adelaide Yarn Tourism: Adelaide Yarn Store map and more

When I first starting knitting, my only choice when shopping for yarn was Spotlight Port Adelaide! I was happy though: the bargain bin was bliss for a young person with little money and less knowledge, but a lot of excitement about creating things with yarn!

Now that I am older, I like the finer things in life, yarn included! Luckily, my city has begun opening yarn store after yarn store: in the last 2 years, four new yarn stores or speciality shops that sell yarn have opened. This is no small thing, as the world of retail is generally going in the other direction… 

I have made an interactive Google map with different layers including: Brick and Mortar Stores, Appointment only, Independent Stores that stock yarn and Chain Craft Stores in Adelaide, as well as an events layer. I apologise in advance if I have left someone off. As I said, the scene is booming: it’s hard to keep up! 

Please comment below if there are any businesses I need to add and I will endeavour to update the map ASAP. I can’t add businesses that don’t have a physical address though… ie. there are some fabulous indie dyers in Adelaide, but unless they have a google business location I can’t add them.
