Every significant journey begins with a party: casting off for a Viking adventure or casting on for a Mystery Knit Along.
To commemorate the 13th West Knits Cast On, Yarn Trader hosted a fantastic party at Pirate Life Brewing, Port Adelaide. It was a busily, bubbly, crowd of 54 knitters that included MKAL veterans and virgins alike!
I loved seeing a lot of familiar faces there, including Wendy, who was the winner of my MKAL Cast on Party ticket giveaway, and Lisa of NNK Yarns, who flew down from Brisbane especially for the event.
Being a part of such a joyful community event was truly inspiring and I know we all want (and need!) more of this: to connect with other knitters and enjoy being creative together. I can assure you, there is more coming. I think I heard something about Yarn Trader throwing a Block Party?
