Bramble is an unconventional but versatile shaped shawl worked in one and two colour brioche. Its construction begins with two ‘wings’, e a c h knit from the tip in two colour brioche with icord edge. The wings are then joined to form a rectangular panel, the texture of which is designed to evoke the light through wild bramble branches, transitioning into the dark undergrowth in the final one colour brioche section. Berry-like bobbles punctuate the cast off edge.

Bramble was inspired by and knit in these colours: About Bombed Yarns Sarah is a yarn dyer based in lutruwita (Tasmania) with a talent for combining beautiful colours with lush fibres. Sarah offers a nice range of traditional plys and fibres such as Merino but also sneaks in alternative exciting bases when she can source them. With a demand for superwash, she offers yarns which are superwashed in a mill which is one of the best and cleanest in the world. She also offers glorious Tasmanian and Australian non superwash Merino and Merino mixed yarn. She offers custom dyeing services to support her original reason for why she started to dye. Sarah actively supports and encourages inclusivity as well as supporting opportunities for further learning. She has put a lot of effort into building a creative fibre community while also bringing a strong environmental conscience to her craft.
